Help With Pricing

·        All items need to be priced at a minimum of $1.00. Please price items at $1.00 increments. (ex: $2.00, $3.00 and so on; NO prices ending in .50 or .99, etc.).

·    A general rule of thumb when pricing your items is that you can get about 1/3 of the original price of an item. More or less depending on the quality and condition of the item. It helps to think, what would I pay for this item? Chances are if you would pay a certain price for an item, so would someone else.

·    When pricing your items you will be able to decide if you want your items to be discounted on Sunday, our discount day. You choose if you want no discount, 25% off, or 50% off your items. It can be different for different items, you decide! Many shoppers do take advantage of discount day, so please keep your items at full price sparingly. You don’t want to miss out on sales.

Tagging & Preparing Your Items

Supplies Needed:

·         White Cardstock

·         Wire Hangers (Children’s Plastic Hangers are ok for up to size 5T)

·         Safety Pins (No Straight Pins)

·         Clear Packing Tape(No Scotch or Masking Tape)

·         Various Sizes of Plastic Zip (or slide) Loc Bags

NOTE: A tagging gun is optional. You may use a tagging gun to attach your price tags to clothing. If using a tagging gun all price tags should be attached underneath the arm at the seam on the right hand side of the clothing (when the item faces you). For pants, please attach the tag on the right hand side at the seam (again, when the items faces you).
Tagging Guns and Supplies Are Available for Purchase Through Our Website

To prepare your tags please click here. From this window you will be able to create and print your tags. Please use white cardstock ONLY. Paper will tear off to easily. Any items NOT prepared with cardstock will NOT be put on the sales floor.

·         When creating your tags please remember to note a discount if any, on your tags. Remember this can vary; all your items don’t have to have the same discount. Also remember to note whether you are donating your items or not.

If you don't have access to a computer, please let us know and we will print them for you. There is a fee associated with printing and mailing your tags to you. Please contact us for more information.

All clothing price tags should be pinned to the top right hand side of the clothing item, when the item is facing you.

Be sure to inspect your items. All items must be clean looking, smell free, and intact (no tears, rips, spots, stains, worn out knees, missing buttons or snaps, broken zippers, hems out, seams out, or animal fur.) If you would not buy it, don't ask us to sell it.

Hanging Clothing:

All clothing needs to be hung on wire hangers. If you would like you can use children’s plastic hangers for infant and toddler clothing (up to size 5T). When hanging your items make sure the hanger faces the left. When looking at the front of your clothing the hanger should look like a question mark (?).  Also, when looking at the front of your clothing, the price tag should be pinned to the top right hand side of the clothing item.

Safety pin shirts to the hangers if necessary to prevent them from sliding off. Pants/shorts/skirts should be hung on the upper part of the hanger with the pins close to the hook so they won't slide to the bottom part (otherwise they bunch-up and people won't buy them). With clothing sets, pin the bottom BEHIND (not under) the top. Be sure the pins go through the hanger and not just the shirt to avoid damaging the shirt.

Button all buttons, snap all snaps, tie all bows, zip all zippers. The nicer your items look, the better they sell. Safety pin any matching accessories to the outfit.

Inexpensive safety pins can be purchased at dollar stores or Wal-Mart.

Ask your dry cleaner for wire hangers, they usually have an abundance. Many times you can get them for free or a very minimal fee.

Shoes:
Please Do Not put shoes in shoe boxes. Please put shoes in Ziploc bags. Secure the bag closed with clear packing tape. Secure the tag to the outside of the bag with clear packing tape.

Shoes that are too large for a Ziploc bag can be zip tied together to ensure the pair stays together. Please fasten the tag with the zip tie as well.

Large Items:
Please secure the tag to the item with clear packing tape.

Small Items:
Large Ziploc bags with the tags attached to the OUTSIDE work well for small items such as bibs, socks, onesies, etc. Attach the tags with either a safety pin or packing tape. Any bags of toys should be securely sealed closed with packing tape as well. They are an incredible temptation to the children shoppers.

Items With Multiple Parts:
Large Ziploc bags work very well. Be sure to attach your tag to the OUTSIDE and secure the bag closed with packing tape. If part of a larger toy, tape the sealed bag to the larger item. Keep in mind, children want to play with these toys and we cannot be responsible for any missing pieces, so protect your items.
